Improve Link Popularity
Improve Targeted Link Popularity

If you want your site to do well in the search engine results,
you have to focus on strategies to improve link popularity. I simply cannot
stress this enough. For everything I am teaching you to be effective,
you must have as many incoming links to your site as possible.
Incoming links will decrease the time it takes your website to get indexed,
and allow for updates you make on your site to show up rapidly.
"The best way to ensure Google finds
your site is for your page to be linked from lots of pages on other
websites. Google's robots jump from page to page on the Web via
hyperlinks, so the more sites that link to you, the more likely
it is that we'll find you".

Most search engines return search results, in the exact order
of perceived relevance to the search query requested. Although based
on many factors, incoming anchor text links play a significant role
in determining actual relevance.
Strategies to Improve Link Popularity
When it comes to finding incoming links to your site, there simply
are no short cuts. The key to online success, is good old-fashioned
hard work! You can improve your link popularity rapidly by actively
participating in quality forums, provided you use your URL in your
signature. Google does not however, weigh these links heavily.
Research and find websites with relevant content. These sites
should also be a good resource for your site visitors. Send each
site owner a PERSONAL email explaining why it may be a benefit for
both sites to exchange links. The use of form letters for this method
is not effective.
Spend the time necessary to find all RELEVANT directories where
you can submit your site for inclusion.
How much time should you spend?
As long as it takes!
This is an ongoing process that you will need to focus your attention
on.
Blogging can be an effective way to improve link popularity.
Before you set up your blog though, you will need to
do some careful planning.
Consider writing articles and tutorials. Make them available
for reprint in exchange for a link back to your site. A quick search
on Google for the term, submit articles will reveal literally thousands
of sites where you can submit your articles for inclusion. There
are also a variety of tutorials available to help you with strategies
to improve writing style.
Submitting to so called link farms is a poor way to attempt to
increase links to your site.
"Don't participate in link schemes designed
to increase your site's ranking or PageRank. In particular, avoid
links to web spammers or bad neighborhoods on the web as your own
ranking may be affected adversely by those links."

Improve Link Popularity by Encouraging Incoming Links
Your site must also be set up in such a fashion to ENCOURAGE
incoming links. Take a long look at your site and determine the
following: Do you have a page set up SPECIFICALLY with information
on linking to your site? Is this page hard to find? Does it explain
exactly what is needed to be added to your list? Is it linked to
the main pages, or is it hiding deep in your structure?
Is your resource list set up EFFECTIVELY, or do you simply have
a page filled with links? Are you hiding this page deep in the site,
or is it easy to find? Do you make this look like a place where
people would WANT their site to be found. Do you provide these people
with quality anchor text links? (Not JavaScript or some other hidden
tactic)
Improve Link Popularity for The Right Reasons
When setting up your resources pages, please remember this, do
what is right. Linking decisions for your website should be based
on ONE factor - providing quality resources for your site visitors.
Consider this, if I cannot trust you to refer me to QUALITY resources,
can I trust your business ethics? Do not ever allow Google PageRank
(PR) to play a role in your linking decisions. Please remember that
today's PR3 site will be tomorrow's PR6 site. If you ignore a valuable
resource today, due to their current PR, why would they want to
link with you later, as their business begins to grow?
Often folks ask me what to do when they discover that a site
they were exchanging links with, is no longer linking back to them.
This is when you need to look inside and ask yourself, why were
you linking to their website? Were you linking to them just for
an exchange link? Or, were you linking to them because you truly
felt they were a valuable resource for your site visitors?
If you set up your linking strategies for the RIGHT reasons,
you will be developing an online business that can be successful
both now AND in the future.
I WILL DEFINITELY SEE YOU AT THE TOP!
